The Kilifi County government is set to launch a new kindergarten scholarship program aimed at boosting enrollment and retention in early childhood education. The initiative comes in response to the growing number of street children and the escalating challenges of poverty in the region. Kilifi County Education Minister, Felkin Kaingu, announced that each kindergarten student will receive an annual scholarship of 980 shillings, in addition to the county’s existing porridge program for kindergarten pupils.
