Deputy President Kithure Kindiki says the government has no intention of going back on its policy to end discriminatory vetting for Kenyan’s living in counties along the country’s volatile border lines. Kindiki, who met members of parliament from north eastern Kenya at his Karen residence in Nairobi, reiterated that the policy was aimed at ensuring equality as well as fostering unity in the country, as the government employs alternative measures to curb the threat of terror. The deputy president also assured the legislators of continued development in their regions, with a promise to complete all development projects either started or stalled.
