Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured artists that the government is committed to ensuring fair earnings in the creative industry. Speaking in Irunduni, Tharaka Nithi County, where he met over 2,000 artists from Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi, the Deputy President stated that the government will not relent in eliminating cartels that exploit musicians, actors, filmmakers, and other creatives. Kindiki also noted that new laws on the creative economy and culture currently before Parliament will soon be enacted.
