Wanafunzi 1086 kati ya wanafunzi 1662 wa shule ya upili ya wasichana ya Eregi wameruhusiwa kuelekea nyumbani na wazazi wao baada ya wanafunzi 106 kuathirika na ugonjwa usiojulikana, huko Kakamega. Hatahivyo uamuzi huo wa kuwaruhusu wanafunzi wa kidato cha kwanza hadi cha nne kuenda nyumbani ulifanywa baada ya wanafunzi kuzua vurugu hapo jana. Vurugu zilisababisha uharibifu wa mali na kujeruhiwa kwa wanafunzi katika makabiliano na maafisa wa usalama. Kwa sasa wanafunzi 95 wanaendelea kupokea matibabu katika hospitali mbalimbali huku uchunguzi ukiendelea.
