The Ministry of Health has deployed a team from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council to St. Elizabeth Mukumu Mission Hospital in Kakamega County to probe the death of a woman during delivery. While appearing before a parliamentary committee, Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale said firm action will be taken if investigations confirm the allegations raised by the family. The family of Grace Wambui Misigo claims that nurses on duty assaulted her and forced her to undergo a normal delivery, leading to her untimely death.
