KMPDU officials appear to differ over the fate of strike

Cracks appear to be emerging within the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentist Union on the fate of the doctors strike. In what is likely to set the stage for infighting the chairman Saturday issued a statement accusing what he terms as a well-intentioned individual of repeatedly reopening negotiations that lead to endless meetings maintaining the strike was on despite the court order. This comes as pressure is mounting on the medics to call off the strike to give room for dialogue. As Abdiaziz Hashim now tells us the emerging cracks at the Helm of the Union could leave the striking doctors between a rock and a hard place.
