You risk being prosecuted for filing a false claim to the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights in the ongoing process of filing claims for compensation of protest victims, which is expected to end by April 3,2026. KNCHR Chairperson Claris Ogangah has affirmed that the commission will work with various stakeholders, including the National Police Service, to verify all claims to ensure a transparent, accountable, and comprehensive reparations process. The commission HAS also warned politicians against politicizing the exercise.
