The Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) is demanding the immediate release of medical capitation funds by the National Treasury to guarantee teachers ability to access health care services. Addressing the media in Nairobi on Thursday, KUPPET acting Secretary General Moses Nthurima has claimed that their members cannot access services in accredited hospitals due to an 11 billion shillings debt, owing to delayed remittance of medical capitation.
