The ministry of labour has tonight directed the kenya union of post primary education teachers kuppet and the kenya national union of teachers (knut) to call off their planned industrial action and await the outcome of ongoing consultations. In a letter to kuppet dated 23 august, 2024, the ministry says the dispute resolution mechanism has already been set in motion and the teachers unions should wait for the amicable resolution of the issue.
