KWS concerned over giraffe meat consumption in Garissa

    Kenya wildlife Service, KWS, is concerned that Giraffes in Wajir and Garissa counties could be wiped out soon if bush meat consumption in Dadaab refugee camp continues unabated. According to A KWS senior Warden In Garissa, Giraffes are being killed on a weekly basis and their meat transported to Dabaab. Antelopes too have become a constant on the menu of the refugees who have no domestic animals to depend on for milk and meat supplies.
