Laikipia County leaders call for the return of the Mukogodo Forest for better management

Leaders in Laikipia County now want the Mukogodo Forest to be reverted back to the community in efforts to better manage the indigenous forest. Mukogodo Forest is one of the dryland forests in the country that has been a protected forest reserve by the Kenya Forest Service for nearly a century. but locals say the forest is now aiding bandits who trouble pastoralist communities.
