Hundreds of business people from Kiunga island in Lamu county are calling for the reopening of the Hindi - Kiunga road, which was closed due to insecurity. The traders decried massive losses incurred due to unfair market competition, where middlemen fleece them off proceeds of fishing. And as Laura Otieno reports, the agricultural prospects of the island are also dwindling by the day due to the lack of a proper transport network.
