The Law Society of Kenya has requested Chief Justice Martha Koome to take a stand on the independence of the Judiciary and not allow statements from parliament or the president to influence court decisions. The lawyers, who demonstrated today to condemn President William Ruto's remarks against the Judiciary, have vowed to do whatever it takes to ensure that no one interferes with the independence of the judicial system.
