Kiambu County leaders have sounded the alarm over a disturbing surge in gender-based violence (GBV), with the region now leading in reported cases nationwide. In a stark warning, Thika Town MP Alice Ng’ang’a revealed that at least 46 women have lost their lives to suspected femicide in Thika alone this year.
