At least 2,000 children in the country are born with clubfoot, a deformity in which a baby is born with a foot or both feet twisted downward and inward, the arch is increased, and the heel is turned inward. Even though clubfoot can be corrected for free in most if not all public hospitals in the country, if not identified early, the children risk a lifetime of disability among other challenges.
