The national women's rugby team the lionesses are three games away from qualifying for the women rugby world cup to be played in England in 2025. The lionesses will play hosts Madagascar, Cameroon and South Africa in the rugby Africa women's cup with the winner heading to England. In the final squad named on Tuesday, coach Paul Murunga has included some of the Kenya women sevens players to boost their chances of qualifying for the world cup.
