Nyandarua County First Lady Grace Kiarie has urged the local community to embrace a more equitable distribution of household responsibilities noting the importance of men actively participating in home chores to foster healthier family dynamics and promote gender equality.Speaking at a community event aimed at enhancing nutrition practices and gender inclusivity, Kiarie highlighted the disproportionate burden of household chores borne by women, which often leads to exhaustion and limits their capacity to engage in other productive activities. She pointed out that when men participate in home chores, it not only lightens the load for women but also sets a positive example for children, fostering an environment of mutual respect and cooperation.
