The Law Society of Kenya has gone to court seeking to nullify a new law by the Kiambu County administration that imposes tax on privately owned land. The matter was filed at the Thika Land and Environment Court under a certificate of urgency on behalf of residents of Kiambu who are said to be at risk of losing their land should they default on the land tax.
