LSK, rights groups push Govt to rethink foreign traders directive

The Law Society of Kenya and human rights defenders are calling on the government to review its directive on the restriction of foreign nationals from engaging in certain forms of small-scale trade. They say while the government has a legitimate mandate to regulate immigration, employment and trade, enforcement must comply with the Constitution and Kenya’s regional and international obligations.
