Lung cancer or tumors originating in the lung, is one of the leading causes of cancer related deaths Globally. As the numbers of mortality keep rising in Kenya, lung cancer continues to be referred to as a silent killer, this is because, it is difficult to detect, treat or even cure. Poisonous residue from Smoking, Asbestos, Carsinogenic substances and even environmental hazards have been singled out as major risk factors contributing directly or inderectly to lung cancer. However, the case studies we interacted with for a period of two months cast a shadow of uncertainty over what really causes cancer. Nimrod Taabu now tells us more.
