Chief Justice Martha Koome is expected to visit Lee Funeral Home to pay her last respects to Makadara Principal Magistrate Monica Kivuti, who succumbed to gunshot injuries on Friday night. Chief Justice Martha Koome confirmed the news of Kivuti's passing on Saturday morning. Kivuti was shot by a senior police officer on Thursday and succumbed to her injuries while receiving specialized treatment at Nairobi Hospital. The chief justice will join family, friends and other judiciary staff who are currently at the funeral home where Kivuti's body was moved to.
