Makazi yazama chini ya maji
Mafuriko yaliyochochewa na mvua kubwa yaliyatenga baadhi ya maeneo ya kusini magharibi mwa manispaa ya Chongqing nchini China Alhamisi (Julai 11), kituo cha televisheni cha taifa CCTV kimeripoti.
Picha za kanda za video zilizochukuliwa angani zimeonyesha majengo ya makazi na miti huko katika kijiji cha Chang yamefunikwa na maji ya mafuriko.
Nyumba takriban 280 ziliathiriwa, CCTV ilisema, ikiongeza kuwa kiasi cha wakazi 490 walilazimika kuhamishwa. Katika operesheni kama hii ya uokoaji, kiwango cha maji kilionekana kuwa na kina hadi kwenye kifua, Ripoti ya CCTV ilionyesha.
Mamlaka katika eneo zimetangaza mpango wa dharura wa kukabiliana na hali ya mafuriko, ripoti hiyo ilisema.
Idadi ya vifo kutokana na mvua hiyo kubwa huko Chongqing iliongezeka hadi watu watano na mmoja wao hajulikani aliko, kulingana na ripoti ya Alhamisi iliyotolewa na Shirika la habari la serikali Xinhua.
