Last week, our reporter Theo Macharia brought us a special feature on how the elite intelligence-led Special Operations Group (SOG) has been at the forefront of fighting against and deterring operatives from the Al-shabaab terrorist group, specifically in the Boni forest. Today, he returns with another report detailing how the SOG officers conduct their training on grounds located in remote parts of the country, surrounded by rugged terrain and rocky hills. As you will discover, out of 2,000 recruits, only 100 manage to graduate from this training, which is packed with intense drills, advanced marksmanship, and live-fire simulations.
