Makorongo makubwa: Janga la kimataifa linaloangamiza miji
Mmomonyoko wa udongo ni aina ya uharibifu wa udongo unaosababishwa na maji, ambao wataalam wameiambia BBC unakua kwa kasi ya kutisha.
Inaweza kusababisha makorongo makubwa bila tahadhari yeyote- na wakati mwingine husababisha madhara mabaya.
Miji ya Amerika Kusini hadi Afrika imeharibiwa na jamii kuathirika.
Wanasayansi wanasema ingawa mmomonyoko wa udongo ni mchakato wa asili ambao hutokea baada ya muda, kwa sasa kumekuwa na ongezeko kubwa la makorongo haya.
Kasi hii inatokana na shughuli zinazofanywa na binadamu: ukataji miti, miundombinu duni katika miji na hali mbaya ya hewa kutokana na mabadiliko ya hali ya hewa.
