Treasury CS John Mbadi has warned that the fuel crisis in the country could last longer than expected, citing the extent of global disruptions arising from the war in the Middle East. Speaking in Busia shortly after attending the burial of Nyando MP Jared Okello’s mother in Kisumu County, Mbadi cautioned against the politicisation of the crisis, saying the biggest challenge going forward is not the cost but the availability of fuel. Both ODM and UDA leaders defended President William Ruto’s intervention in the fuel crisis, calling for more focus on stabilising the situation.
