Embattled Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has moved to the Court of appeal in Nyeri to stop her planned impeachments motion by the county assembly. Kawira rushed to the appellate court after the High Court in Meru refused to certify her pleas urgent and instead certified her case to be heard in November yet her impeachment motion is slated for Wednesday the 25th of October 2023. Her move came as the County assembly commenced an engagement with public on its bid to kick her out of office for the second time in less than one year.
