Addressing the media alongside DCP-allied Members of Parliament at the party's Nairobi headquarters, Methu took issue with President William Ruto's remarks confirming that he had approved the establishment of the facility. The senator questioned the government's decision to proceed with the project despite a standing court order halting its construction, arguing that the move undermines the rule of law and ignores concerns raised by members of the public.
