A group of matatu Sacco owners in Migori County is in an uproar over alleged extortion by Kanjo officers, who are demanding daily payments in exchange for allowing them to operate. Despite reaching an agreement with the county government regarding license fees, the Sacco owners claim that these rogue officers have been demanding an additional Sh50 per day per bus station, even after parting with the required fee of Sh80 per toll station, which stretches from the Isebania border, Migori, Awendo, and Rongo.
