The migrant 'heroes' who tried to prevent a deadly anti-gay attack - BBC Africa
While bystanders watched on and others filmed on their mobile phones, two Senegalese migrants, Ibrahima Diack and Magatte N'Diaye intervened and tried to save a gay man beaten to death by a homophobic mob. For their action, they were recognised and were given "adopted sons of the city" status in A Coruña in a formal ceremony. The men were the only ones to intervene in July 2021, when Samuel Luiz was set upon by a group of men and kicked and punched outside a nightclub in the north-western city.
