MPs to challenge expulsion from ODM in court

    A section of legislators from Orange Democratic Movement have to move to court to contest their expulsion from the party. Speaking at a church service in Migori county, Suba South legislator Caroli Omondi argued that he was exercising the will of his electorate, by meeting the president in oder to lobby for development. His Uriri counterpart Mark Nyamita accused the party’s disciplinary committee of bias claiming that thE National Executive Council recommendation to axe them from the party was a selfish move masking the politics of succession. On his part, national assembly speaker Moses Wetangula called on party leaders to allow their members serve the electorate and shelve what he said were selfish interests.
