Sleuths at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI are hunting down Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru alias Mejja Dong and his Embakasi North counterpart James Gakuya, who are alleged to be masterminds of the youth-led protests that ended in the invasion of parliament. This is after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Renson Ingonga approved charges leveled against the two MPs alongside ex-Embakasi West lawmaker George Theuri, former Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu as well as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s private secretary Pius Munene. And as Abdiaziz hashim reports Theuri, Ngunjiri and Munene have secured temporary orders blocking their arrest, detention and prosecution.
