It is now emerging that the national cereals and produce board distributed about 100,000 bags of suspected fake fertilizer from SBL Innovate Manufacturers Limited between 2022 and 2024. The director of SBL Innovate Josiah Kariuki who appeared before the National Assembly agriculture committee says that he had an agreement with NCPB to sell his product and that before the contract was signed NCPB took samples for testing.
