Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi says there is a possibility that the 2027 general election could be nullified even before it starts. Speaking at the 46th Logooli Cultural Festival in Vihiga County, Mudavadi said the country is facing a major legal crisis after failing to comply with constitutional provisions on boundary delimitation and for nullifying a 2019 census in Wajir, Garissa and Mandera counties. Mudavadi argues that this will taint the proceedings and calls on Kenyans to embrace a referendum to address the legal loopholes that will affect the exercise if not addressed.
