Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has put on notice cartels undermining National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) scheme, describing them as a stumbling block to the achievement of universal healthcare. Mudavadi says the government is aware of cartels in the medical insurance business who do not mean well for the national scheme. This coming as the national treasury released 11bn billion shillings to NHIF to enable settlement of claims by various service providers nationwide.
