Deputy President Kithure Kindiki now reveals that an intelligence-led multi agency operation has led to 9 successful illicit ethanol raids and 116 other raids on illicit brews made without following public health and quality standards in the last 10 days across the country. Speaking in his Karen Residency, Nairobi County, after meeting top security chiefs, Kindiki stated that the Government has finalized legislative proposals that will tighten the noose on manufacturers, distributors and enablers of ethanol and drug cartels that are supplying dangerous chemical-laced alcoholic drinks to members of the public.
