A multi-sectoral working group on the realization two thirds gender rule is seeking the support of the ODM leader Raila Odinga on the elusive two thirds gender rule. The team which was led by Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa met the former Premier on Tuesday as part of its efforts to reach out to major political players to try and push through the constitutional amendment that will see one gender hold not more that 75 percent of elective positions in the National Assembly. President William Ruto presented a memorandum in December 2022 on the need for the gender principle.
