    Ushirika unaounga mkono demokrasia nchini Sudan wa Forces of Freedom and Change umesaini makubaliano ya awali na jeshi ili kurejesha utawala wa kiraia baada ya mapinduzi ya mwaka jana. Makubaliano haya yanaruhusu uongozi wa mpito wa kiraia wa miaka miwili kuelekea uchaguzi mkuu. Lakini maandamano ya kupinga makubaliano hayo yameanza katika mji mkuu, Khartoum, na mengine zaidi yanatarajiwa nchi nzima, huku watu wakitaka wale walioongoza mapinduzi wawajibishwe.
