Nairobi Archbishop Anyolo: leaders should respect chapter 6 of the constitution

Archbishop Philip Anyolo of the Nairobi archdiocese has called on political leaders to join the church during the 40-day Lenten period to reflect on their individual integrity. Speaking at St. Monica Catholic Church in Njiru during the launch of the Lenten campaign, bishop Anyolo said this year's theme "integrity for a just nation" is timely in Kenya, urging all elected leaders to uphold chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity. The Nairobi archdiocese bishop also called on the government to look for ways to lower the cost of living to ease the burden for a majority of Kenyans who are suffering.
