Ken Ngondi is the newly elected speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly. Ngondi of Azimio garnered 68 votes against Kenya Kwanza’s Hassan Robow who got 55 votes. Ngondi won in the second round of voting after the first round failed to meet the two thirds threshold. In the first round, Ngondi got 71 votes against Robows' 52.
