Natembeya arraigned over three corruption offences

    Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been freed on a bond of 1 million shillings after pleading not guilty to corruption charges. Anti-corruption Trial Magistrate Charles Ondieki ruled the Prosecution did not adduce compelling reasons to warrant the detainment of the governor. The governor who denied the three offences levelled against him relating to embezzlement of Six Million shillings from the County government of Trans Nzoia County was however, barred from accessing his office for a period of 60 days.
