The National Heroes Council has teamed up with the Kenya prison service and other environmental champions to plant over 3500 trees at Kitengela GK Prison in response to the government’s ambitious plan to plant 15 billion trees by 2032. The National Heroes Council Chief Executive Officer Charles Wambia who led the exercise, said the council, like any other government institution, is cognizant of the impact of climate change and has an obligation to help the country mitigate the same.
