The national police service requires an additional 21 billion to finance its operations and provide national security ahead of next year’s general election. Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja, who appeared before the National Assembly Administration and Internal Security Committee today, said some police stations lacked electricity, and that half of all police stations in the country have no vehicles.
