The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has strongly defended its proposed KSh1.3 billion budget for the 2025/2026 financial year, warning that lack of adequate funding could significantly hinder the upcoming police recruitment exercise.
Presenting the budget, NPSC representative Lelei faced tough questions from lawmakers, particularly regarding the commission’s plan to transition to an online recruitment system. Despite the concerns, Lelei emphasized that digitizing all commission services is a key part of their broader strategy to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
