    Health services in public hospitals across the country were disrupted on Wednesday after members of the Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives (KNUNM) carried out their threat to strike. The industrial action severely affected service delivery, leaving patients in pain. Among the grievances raised by the nurses and midwives are the permanent employment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) staff, delayed career progression, and the full implementation of previously signed labour agreements.
