The Kenya National Progressive Nurses Association has embarked on vigorous training to equip members with skills to promote quality reproductive health services. This comes in the wake of increased demand for reproductive health information with the limited workforce in health facilities. Speaking at the sidelines of a workshop in Embu, KPNA Chair Michael Nyongesa says there has been a spike in the number of women seeking family planning services in the country. Statistics show an increase of from 30 percent in 2003 to 57 percent in 2022 with those seeking family planning services expected to increase to 64% by 2030.
