A senior police officer has sparked DEBATE after publicly urging the Inspector-General of Police to scale down the recruitment of women into the National Police Service, citing what he claimed were operational inefficiencies and disciplinary challenges. The remarks, made by the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Nyahururu Isaac Kimutus during a Jukwaa la usalama forum in Nanyuki have drawn public ire and have drawn Interior cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen's condemnation.
