Nyakang’o clarifies Homabay county operates 274 accounts

The office of the controller of budget Dr. Margaret Nyakang’o has clarified that the county government of Homa Bay has been operating 274 bank accounts and not the 558 accounts reported in its annual county governments budget implementation review report for the financial year 2024/25. The clarification is in apparent response to a letter from the Homa Bay county finance executive who sought to set the record straight.
