Nyamira Early Childhood Development and Education teachers have raised concerns over what they term as poor working conditions and discriminatory terms of service by the county government of Nyamira. Speaking in Nyamira the Kenya Union Of Pre Primary Education Secretary General Samuel Opiyo, said the salaries the teachers earn goes against the salaries and remuneration commission requirements. The teachers they earn as low as twelve thousand Kenyan shillings per month which cannot sustain their basic needs and does not match their level of education.
