Nyamira family demands justice for their dead kin

A family in Nyamira County is seeking justice following the death of their kin at a police station. Jackson Makori Obare was reportedly attacked on Sunday night while passing through a neighbouring farm. He was allegedly assaulted by the farm owner who accused him and others of stealing. Makori was arrested and taken to Ekerenyo Police Station and later to Ekerenyo Hospital for treatment before being returned to Ekerenyo Police Station, where he is said to have died.
