Nyanza leaders call for immediate action from government to end the Sondu conflicts

Elected leaders from the Nyanza region now want an immediate end to the Sondu conflicts that left 4 dead on Tuesday night. led by National Assembly minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, the legislators have termed the attacks as ethnic cleansing saying they are targeted at the Luo community in the area bordering Kisumu and Kericho counties. The leaders want all government activities halted in the region and the conflicts given first priority, even as Kericho governor Erick Mutai calls for calm.
